150 minutes of Literacy daily for ALL students.
Literacy Instruction will include reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Students will learn to effectively communicate ideas and information through creative writing.
Students will learn to write with a purpose and mission and respond critically to literary and informational resources.
Students will learn both printing and cursive writing.
Writing strategies will include pre-writing, drafting, revising, editing and publishing.
Writing in the Arts will include descriptions of artwork, scripts, and songs.
Writing in Computer Science will require students to explain sequencing or programming steps and writing blueprint instructions for projects.
